Party Republicans – Their Own Worst Enemy

The Republicans are just not getting it. The American people do not want conciliators, bridge-builders, or BIG-TENTERS.

Just the opposite.

The people want conciliators thrown out of office. They want bridges blown-up. And they want the big tent torn down.

They don’t want compromisers. THEY DON’T WANT POLITICIANS.

With Troubles Mounting, Paterson Unlikely to Survive Term, Analysts Say
:

“As New York Gov. David Paterson fends off one scandal after another, political analysts are sensing blood in the water and wondering when, not if, he will resign.

‘We have a death watch going on, no question,’ New York Post state editor Fred Dicker told Fox News. ‘A lot of people thought he would get out yesterday. He didn’t. He had press conference a few minutes ago vowing to tough it out and hold on through the end of the year. …

‘The attitude here is just wait, that you cannot anticipate what’s going to happen because so much incredible stuff has already occurred.’

On Wednesday, Paterson was accused of violating state ethics laws when he sought and obtained free Yankees tickets for the 2009 World Series and then may have lied about his intention to pay for them, according to a state report.

He faces potential penalties of nearly $100,000, and the case was referred to the Albany County prosecutor’s office and the state attorney general for possible criminal investigation into whether Paterson or anyone else gave false answers to questions by the Public Integrity Commission or backdated a check to pay for the tickets.”

It Is Time For a New Tax Revolt

by Joe ‘The Plumber’ Wurzelbacher

We will never control our government until we control the federal tax system.

It is corrupted and unfair and feeds unchecked government growth. It has made the federal government far more powerful than what was supposed to be its equal—our state governments. The income tax hides the cost of the government from plain sight and provides endless amounts of our money for the advancement of politician’s personal ambitions. It is very good for those in Washington and very destructive for the rest of us.

ACORN gives itself a makeover (Rep. Michele Bachmann)

ACORN gives itself a makeover (Rep. Michele Bachmann) – The Hill’s Congress Blog:

“ACORN, the community organizing group unable to erase the scandals associated with them, appears to be dismantling their operating structure.

No matter the structure, this is the same group shown on video last summer recommending methods to create an illegal prostitution business. It is the same group which intimidated banks into risky financial practices before the financial collapse. It is the same group whose employees have been indicted for voter registration fraud.

It’s my fear that rather than confronting their shady actions of the past, it will just be business as usual for ACORN going forward.”

Call these swing Congressman on Health Care

These thirty Democratic Congressmen all voted for Obamacare the first time around. But Pelosi cannot count on their votes again as Obama tries to jam the bill through using reconciliation in the Senate. These members are all vulnerable and are frightened of the voter backlash their support for Obamacare has kindled.

The League of American voters is running ads in each of their districts to press them to vote no on Obamacare. See their ad on the screen at left. And give us money to run the ad!

Is Andrew Breitbart Breaking Down ?

foundingbloggers.com – Is Andrew Breitbart Breaking Down?:

Several videos of Andrew Breitbart attending CPAC 2010 are making the rounds on the interwebs. Salon.com has posted an article entitled “Breitbart’s breakdown: A video tour”, based on four of the clips floating around.

In these videos, a visibly angry Breitbart tears into Progressive writers Max Blumenthal, Mike Madden, and others, in response to their baseless charges and innuendos of racism surrounding Breitbart, Hannah Giles, and James O’Keefe.

Apparently, Salon.com doesn’t think that anger and outrage are normal reactions for a human being to have in response to being falsely smeared and branded a racist.

Salon.com sees the videos of an angry Andrew Breitbart as not much more than an opportunity to ridicule someone with whom they disagree.
By using these videos in this particular way, Salon reveals that it considers the righteous indignation of a man falsely accused to be funny. A real knee-slapper.

That’s very revealing because the videos that the folks at Salon.com are promoting clearly demonstrate why Breitbart is so furious. He explains it to their cameras repeatedly. Perhaps the editors at Salon.com are too politically tone deaf to hear the message.
Just in case, we’ve produced a little video to help illustrate what we’re talking about.

Did Health Care Summit Accomplish Anything?

FOXNews.com – Did Health Care Summit Accomplish Anything?:

“Republicans and Democrats were able Thursday at the White House’s health care summit to come together on a number of issues, starting with the belief that the system needs fixing, but by the end of the full-day session, a significant breakthrough still seemed beyond reach. Was it worth it? You decide.
